- Can the rug go in the washing machine?
- No. The rug is hand-woven and the illustrations are painted on by hand, so the care is spot cleaning — lift stains with a damp cloth. A machine wash would damage the artwork. If the whole rug needs cleaning, it can be soaked.
- Does a new rug have a smell?
- The natural dyes can give a faint earthy smell at first. It goes once the rug has been spread out to air — usually overnight. There is none of the plastic smell of synthetic rugs.
- Does the rug slip on a hard floor?
- On a hard floor we recommend an anti-slip pad underneath. Without one the rug can shift or crease while a child plays on it. On top of carpet it stays put on its own.
- How thick is the rug?
- It is a woven cotton rug, not a foam-backed play mat — so it is thin and rolls up easily, which is what makes it simple to store or take along. If it is going on a hard floor and your child plays there for long stretches, a padded underlay is worth adding.
- What is the rug made of?

When I bought this rug I really liked the design though I have to say that the colours don’t look as bright as in the pictures and the printing was not very good, in some parts the black contour and the coloured parts are not aligned. Also in the pictures the rug looks whiter than it is.
Overall I was a bit disappointed. For the price I expected better quality… Still not sure if to send it back.

I bought two rugs by mistake. The return had to be sent to Tallinn at my own expense. The refund is questionable, there is no longer any communication, and the shop seems questionable.
